There has been a WI in Llanon since
1957 and it has always taken an active part in the village. Every year the WI has a stall in the Carnival to raise money for its own funds
and for different charities.
Members
of all ages attend the meetings and the programme is the result of joint
planning so everyone has the chance of suggesting speakers and activities. The County
and National headquarters organize courses, conferences and workshops so that members have the chance to expand
their horizons and learn new and traditional skills.
For more information see
the village noticeboard
or
just turn up at any meeting to
find out if WI is your kind of thing.
